NASCA (NAZCA) LINES PERU - The Earth Markings / Geoglyphs 1963

In February 1963 Tony Morrison took 25 near perfect negatives before the ancient markings were disturbed by the tourism of the late 1960s - early 1980s. In the same year he first met Maria Reiche, the German mathmetician who spent much of her life studying the markings. Some of the pictures have the film type and numbers as edge markings left in place. Following more visits to the site, he produced in 1977/8 his book and BBC film Pathways to the Gods.

We also have pictures taken by Tony in the 1970s and 1980s of many of the animal designs such as the spider, hummingbird, frigate bird, lizard and others.
