PERU A
group of young Quechua women in Vilcabamba, then a remote
stonebuilt village at an altitude of about 2.600 metres
and effectively out of touch with the world. The women are
sheltering from a chill mist, in home-spun clothes and shawls,
and their feet were bare. It is one of my most telling pictures
from the Andean highlands.
