1963 Peru Cusco. Quechua musicians in traditional richly woven ponchos, play flutes - queñas -, and drums at the festival of Inti Raimi which takes place annually in midwinter on 24th June. The festival as a public spectacle was revised in the 1940s but even by 1963 there were still few visitors largely because of the lack of transport to the city.
