Pisac Peru. Every Sunday for generations Quechua mayors from parishes around
Pisac, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, have gathered outside the church in
Pisac to celebrate Mass. An important part of the ceremony is to make libations
with pisco, the local brandy, to Pachamama, Mother Earth. Before entering the
Church, the Mayors also blow haunting notes on their ancient Conch shells which
since Inca times have been brought from the northern coast of Peru. Camera:
