Summer. Wellington Monument, Blackdown Hills, Somerset. The Monument is a
Grade II* listed building and was designed to commemorate the victory of the first
Duke of Wellington at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Built between 1817 and 1854,
the Monument is 175 feet high (53 metres). It stands at the highest point of the
Blackdown Hills not far from the town of Wellington. Today (2015) the structure
is in poor repair and, surrounded by a wire fence, closed to the public.

Film Kodak Plus X green/yellow filter x 3, 1/50 second at F5.6. Developed by hand
using Kodak Microdol at normal dilution.
