1954 Late Summer. At harvest time the cut stalks of oats were taken and piled by hand into conical-shaped stooks and allowed to dry before threshing. The picture was taken near West Buckland, a small village between Taunton and Wellington in Somerset.

Camera: A West German Baldix 77.5mm F4.5 Westar three element lens, Prontor S shutter. Film Kodak Panatomic X, yellow filter x 2, 1/125 second at F8. Developed by hand using Kodak Microdol for 17 minutes. Slightly towards the sun.
