1961 Janary - Ceylon [now Sri Lanka]. At Hikkaduwa on the west coast a group of fishermen and their outrigger canoes [oruwa]. Since the 1980s the beach has been developed for tourism with numerous apartments and restaurants behind the palms.

Camera - MPP Microflex Twin Lens Reflex with F3.5 77.5mm Taylor Taylor Hobson lens - yellow filter 1x. Film Kodak Verichrome Pan at F8 - 1/300 second. Developed by hand in Colombo using May and Baker Promicrol at normal dilution.
