Snow Squall was built in 1851 at Cape Elizabeth in Maine. USA and found shelter in Stanley Harbour in 1864 after storm damage trying to round Cape Horn. When we were there, the hulk of Snow Squall and two more old ships Egeria and the William Shand were built into the Public Jetty at the eastern end of Stanley waterfront.
