1969 Falkland Islands (Malvinas). The hulk of the Jhelum, once a 428 ton wooden barque built in Liverpool, England. The hull was 123 feet long (37.5 metres) and the beam 27 feet (8.2 metres). In 1969 the Jhelum was described as 'the best surviving example of this type of vessel in the world'. The ship arrived in Stanley harbour in 1870 in sinking condition after heavy weather rounding Cape Horn and like many others of the era never sailed out.

Thanks to John Smith, Stanley in 1969 for help with the description
