In the foreground a detachment of Royal Marines in ceremonial uniform. The white pith helmets are part of the Number 1 Dress uniform for marines serving in British outposts.

Camera: Nikon F 35mm Single Lens Reflex with Nikkor 200 mm F 4 lens. Film - Kodak Plus X Pan 1/1000 second F5.6. Developed by hand in Stanley in the darkroom of local photographer John Leonard using Kodak Microdol at normal dilution.
